How long you have been involved in media?
More then 17 years now
What inspired you to make music?
To me music is the best way to express my feelings.
How has your experience with Pakistani media been
so far?
It hasn't been that well because the type of music I
do is not heard by the
masses. People don't know anything about music here
in Pakistan and every kid is
a critic. If he doesn't understand a song he abuses
it. No one realize how much
energy it is needed to compose instrumentals and songs.
Any plans for a new video anytime soon?
Yes planning for the video of Panchi INSHALLAH very
soon.
What flaws do you see in Pakistani media today?
Flaws? Everyone is so corrupt here, the media hype up
the worst musicians and
the real talented musicians are neglected. Look around
u'll hardly find a good
band in the industry which is doing really good music
rest is just hype. Our
webzines are apart of this they promote those musicians
which they like. They
promote cheap music. I read an article on a website
sometime back and it was so
pathetic that I laughed at what our journalists are
doing these days. While
talking about a band how you can bring the fans attitude
in it? What has the
fans to do with an album? I made the album talk about
me talk about my music
talk about my songs. But no they wrote an article on
Mizraab fans. I wanna know
one thing from all the journalists ~How much sincere
you guys are and how much
music do you know? Will you ever write something against
the fans of a band you
like?~.
What about your music education?
I learned everything on my own.
Tell us something about your music equipment?
Jackson guitar DKMG, Vamp, QY70 music sequencer
Tell us about your recording?
I have a recording studio here in Karachi by the name
of B93.
Sources of inspiration?
It could be anything.
Type of music you like?
Meaningful music.
Type of music you do not like?
Cheap music running all day long on different music
channels.
How do you guys feel when you are playing live?
We love playing live; I just wish we can get more and
more live shows we don't
want to perform DAT. We did perform DAT but we never
wanted to do those shows.
If we get live concerts regularly we don't need to perform
DAT. Recently we were
asked to perform DAT we got this show after such a long
time may be after 5
months and we were unable to reject the offer. We were
not even paid but we did
it coz then the channels stop playing our songs.
What inspires you when composing a song?
Problems that people face in life.
What comes deeper from your soul, Music or Lyrics?
Lyrics and then music. As I said before songs should
have some meaning that's
why lyrics are a very important part of a song.
How would you like to remember?
In Pakistan no one except the fans will ever remember
me. And I know Mizraab
got the best and sincerest fans on this planet. This
was also highlighted in a
magazine sometime back that Mizraab fans are the most
sincere fans in Pakistan.
That review was by Sameen something I don't remember
her name.
Favorite musician?
There are a lot of musicians I like but I don't want
to name any.
Favorite songs?
Yaar kafi zayada hain kya btaon aab
What do you do to earn for living?
I play sessions to earn money coz I didn't get much
from Mizraab and I don't
think I'll earn much in Pakistan. I have heard people
abusing me for doing
sessions. To all those people ~if there were no session
players u wouldn't have
been able to hear so many bands that got famous in the
past~.
What do you think about ePM?
Keep Up the good work :)
Final Comments!!
