Rizwan Rajput

How was Axed formed ?
-Axed was formed in the year 2003 including Murtaza Hasan and the x-band members Anjum Jamal and Ali Faisal who could not continue due to personal reasons. Axed was reformed with the new vocalist Aitzaz Aslam, Rhythm guitarist Simon Suleman and Drummer Taimur who joined Murtaza and are now working under the name of Axed as one unit with one distinctive sound. We recorded our first single "Azad hun" in Egg crates studio Lahore which is available for download from www.axedtheband.com.

Your comments about the local music scene ; as in the underground ?
-its growing everyday! But the problem we ev noticed is that most of the undergrounds are sticking to the one sound that got success in the recent times! So that’s the sad part of our music industry!

Whats behind "Azad Hun" ?
Its all bout the misconception we have about freedom, we all think that we r free and yet we r not! We keep living within the world that our society shows us! And we keep following the footsteps that are already there, rather than creating new footsteps that lead to a new path we keep following0 the old ones. We believe we are free yet we are not

"Yeh zindagi, Jeeney na deyy geii mujhe,

Main Azad hun barhatey nahin phir bhe qadam

How has internet changed the music ?
-Internet on one side is making a huge positive change in the music scene as its become a platform for new artists to release their originals and get recognition but on other hand biased websites can also make a negative impact on the music scene, there are websites who are not willing to release a track bcause of some personal rivalries. But all together it has promoted loads of bands.

Your future plans ?
-working on our songs, recordings under process at eggcrates studio Lahore, n then also working on our debut vdo aswell…

Words for Epakimusic.net ?
-very well designed, not as complicated as other website which adds to its value. Keep rocking!
